The role ensures the timely acquisition of quality goods and services at competitive costs through strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and effective inventory coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the purchasing department.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Following and enforcing the company&#8217;s procurement policies and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performs any other task as per management request.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Qualifications, Experience, and Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A minimum of a Bachelors in Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a relevant discipline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CIPS is an additional advantage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A minimum of 2+ years\u2019 experience in a similar role in a busy environment preferably in the FMCG Sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organizational and time management skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective problem-solving ability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customer Service skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reasoning and calculating<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adapt quickly to unfamiliar situations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Embrace continuous learning mentality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work independently or in a team environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates who meet the criteria outlined above should submit their applications, resume and academic documents in pdf format with \u201c<strong>HCBSU-<\/strong><strong>SPO\u2013SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong> as the Email subject via <a href=\"mailto:recruitment@hcbsltd.com\">recruitment@hcbsltd.com<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The deadline for applications is not later than <strong>05:00 pm, <\/strong><strong>Friday 17<\/strong><sup><strong>th<\/strong><\/sup><strong> July <\/strong><strong>202<\/strong><strong>6<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
