To ensure efficient processes, finance organization, cost efficiency, revenue maximization and cash collection. Identify trends, process improvements and provide a comprehensive analysis of the business on a regular basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Support the CEO in the achievement of the business plan and budget for the entity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Responsible for overall leadership of the finance department strategy and finance staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Role holder will be responsible for financial planning, management and control, encompassing statutory, regulatory and financial reporting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthening the control environment to ensure the integrity of all financial information, managing, and planning for the&nbsp; Hospital\u2019s tax exposure versus sustainability from a compliance and risk perspective.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare and regularly monitor Hospital Annual Budget and budget applications for the Board\/ project\/donor approval and make call-up for funds from the Funding institutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee the management of Stores function, maintain proper and updated record of hospital assets (fixed and movable) inclusive of monetary value of stocks, fixed assets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervise day today finance and accounting activities of Hospital by:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensuring that daily\/monthly reconciliations are done for cash at hand, at bank, debtors, creditors, donation points and other subsidiary accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing periodic cash flow projections and offer timely\/appropriate financial advice to the CEO, Senior Management Team (SMT) and the Board.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow-up on debtors, invoicing of all partner organizations and making sure that all creditors\u2019 bills are settled promptly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Directly supervise, mentor and train the Finance team; appraise them and including staff of the outsourced billing service provider to ensure maximum control over internal revenue generation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervise regular processing and monitoring of payroll, ensure that statutory deductions and returns are prepared and submitted within the set time limits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee the preparation of claims for transit services (recoverable, employee claims, and special projects\/programs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure regular (monthly and quarterly) financial reports are prepared and submitted in a timely manner; compile comprehensive quarterly\/annual financial reports and analyses to the key stakeholders (donors, the senior management team and the Board).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate the work of the Internal and External Auditors by facilitating regular audit exercises and providing all the relevant information.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that the organization adheres to sound financial management processes based an approved financial management manual that incorporates industry best practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that the Finance Team has high ethical and professional standards that enhance the confidence and trust of all key stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Address all internal and external audit queries and recommendations in a timely manner; ensuring that they do not recur in subsequent audit reports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Establish a robust system for managing creditors and debtors to minimize risk to Hospital and maximize revenue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that national fiscal regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are adhered to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate the procurement processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support organization committees (such as Finance Committee, Fundraising, Procurement, etc.) to execute their mandates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Actively participate in the management of the organization as part of the SMT member.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that the asset Register is updated all the time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any other roles as shall be assigned by the immediate supervisor and the Board Finance Committee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Commerce\/ Business Administration (Accounting option)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MBA &#8211; Accounting\/Finance and MSC \u2013 Accounting\/Finance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A professional qualification in accounting preferably ACCA,CIMA,CFA,CPA (U)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>8 years\u2019 post certification professional experience in finance and accounting in a reputable organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Membership with a professional accounting body&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to analyse financial data&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication, presentation and social skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unflustered personality of outstanding integrity record, professional and ethical background<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Knowledge and Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leadership skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analytical and organizational skills&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial management skills&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of standard costing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sound understanding of public-private partnership&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with a good understanding of cultural diversity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer skills and practical experience with ICT productivity solutions at both personal (Microsoft packages, e.g., MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet) and enterprise level (Enterprise Resource Planning)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Other
