{"id":20363,"date":"2026-03-26T11:53:43","date_gmt":"2026-03-26T08:53:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hcbsltd.com\/careers\/?post_type=jobs&#038;p=20363"},"modified":"2026-04-16T04:03:41","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T01:03:41","slug":"electrical-technician-4","status":"expired","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/hcbsltd.com\/careers\/jobs\/manufacturing\/electrical-technician-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Electrical Technician"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Human Capital Business Solutions Ltd is a Boutique HR Advisory Firm that specializes in strategic HR Consulting, Talent Acquisition &amp; Development, Risk Management and Business Process Outsourced Services with our Headquarters based in Uganda and Country Office in Tanzania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On behalf of Uganda Baati, we are looking for a competent and experienced <strong>Electrical Technician <\/strong>to be based in Kampala<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reports To<\/strong>: Electrical Engineer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duty Station<\/strong>: Kampala, Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong>: The Electrical Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in a timely manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Install, repair and maintain electrical systems, wiring, outlets, lighting, and control systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Installs and repair wiring, fixtures, and equipment for all electrical services in the factory<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carry out preventive maintenance of all electrical equipment and Utilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain electrical spares and consumables required for smooth operation of plant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain HT &amp; LT electrical circuits of the plant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain AMC records of utilities (DG, Compressor, Weigh Bridge, cranes).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure electrical safety in the plant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To work towards energy conservation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To participate in monthly stock taking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local and national electrical codes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain records of work performed, materials used and hours worked.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical systems and troubleshoot issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And to carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Qualifications, Experience, and Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2+ years of experience in steel manufacturing sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in the Maintenance of Roll formers, Cranes, Generators and Transformers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or relevant vocational training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid electrician\u2019s license or certification\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, safety procedures, and blueprints.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work independently or as part of a team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physical stamina and the ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certifications and training in relevant fields (OSHA safety training, first aid\/CPR)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates who meet the criteria outlined above should submit their applications, resume and academic documents in pdf format with \u201c<strong>HCBSU-<\/strong><strong>ET-ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong> as the Email subject via <a href=\"mailto:recruitment@hcbsltd.com\"><strong>r<\/strong>ecruitment@hcbsltd.com<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The deadline for applications is not later than <strong>05:00 pm, <\/strong><strong>Thursday 16<sup>th<\/sup> April <\/strong><strong>202<\/strong><strong>6<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
