Human Capital Business Solutions Ltd is an HR Consulting Firm that specializes in Strategic HR Advisory, Talent Acquisition & Development, Risk Management and Business Process Outsourced Services with our Headquarters based in Uganda and Country Office in Tanzania.

We are currently looking for a Learning and Development Associate to join our Core Business Services (CBS) team. As a CBS professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources and tools that help HCBS deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace and support HCBS’s growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in business development activities which will include the preparation of proposals, bids, quotations etc. and including pitching for jobs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and develop learning solutions that align with the client's goals and objectives.
  • Design and implement effective training programs using a variety of delivery methods (e.g., instructor-led, eLearning, virtual, etc.).
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Effectively contribute to performance improvement projects, develop analysis, engage client teams and stakeholders, and deliver high-quality work deliverables.
  • Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices related to learning and development, actively assess and present ways to best serve clients, with a focus to develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of HCBS and its service lines, remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and build relationships with team members to serve clients’ needs.
  • Observe 100% compliance to Quality and Risk Management Policies, Standards and Procedures and ensure all activities are executed in line with the laid down requirements including completing risk management processes, maintaining files and documentation, ensuring own compliance etc.
  • Manage engagement performance through attending kick offs and debriefs.
  • Establish and nurture strong value add working relationships with engagement teams, clients and other business units.

Requirements & Skill Abilities:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in psychology or business Administration (Human Resource concentration) or related field from reputable university.
  • 1- 2 years of experience in Learning & Development, Organisational Development or HR Consulting, ideally within a professional services environment
  • Proven ability to manage projects, including prioritising multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Instructional design expertise
  • Excellent stakeholder management, including proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Outstanding communication skills (written, verbal and facilitation)
  • Ability to work in collaboration with the other development team members to reduce duplication
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively
  • Identify and manage risks/issues as they arise
  • Identify sustainable solutions that accommodate the learning and cultural environment
  • Demonstrated capacity to work within a large team with effective results
  • Facilitation skills with the ability to deliver a wide range of subject areas
