Business Intelligence and Analytics Manager

Human Capital Business Solutions Ltd is a Boutique HR Advisory Firm that specializes in strategic HR Consulting, Talent Acquisition & Development, Risk Management and Business Process Outsourced Services with our Headquarters based in Uganda and Country Office in Tanzania.

On behalf of our client in the Manufacturing Sector we are looking for a competent and experienced Business Intelligence and Analytics Manager to be based in Kampala, Uganda

Position overview

To lead the development and implementation of our BI strategy. You will work closely with various departments across the organization to identify key business questions, translate them into actionable insights, and utilize data to drive informed decision-making

Reports To:  Head of IT   

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable BI initiatives.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive BI strategy aligning with the company's goals.
• Design, develop, and maintain data aligning with the company's repositories.
• Develop and manage reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
• Manage and maintain the company's BI infrastructure, including data tools and technologies.
• Stay current on the latest BI trends and technologies and recommend improvements to our data strategy.
• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the organization.
• Develop and mentor a team of BI analysts (if applicable).
• Any other related task assigned by the management.

Academic/Professional qualifications, work experience, knowledge & skills

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in a BI role within the manufacturing industry (preferred).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing BI strategies.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and data governance concepts.
• Experience with BI tools and technologies (e.g., SAP SAC, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik ).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
